Group & Private HypnoBirthing® Classes

A complete birth education class that guides and prepares a woman in giving birth in a peaceful and extraordinarily beautiful manner. It is a program that considers the psychological, as well as the physical, well-being of the mother, her birth partner, and the newborn, independent of context, whether that be in the quiet of the home, a hospital, or a birth center.

HypnoMothering Classes

This fun, practical class teaches mothers easy and fast self-hypnosis techniques to make the most of limited sleep, keep calm and balance on challenging days, and find focus and mindfulness amidst the myriad of feelings that mothers face.

What is HypnoBirthing®?

image4

HypnoBirthing® is as much a philosophy as it is a technique. It is a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing that is based on the belief that all babies should come into the world in an atmosphere of gentility, calm and joy. When a mother is properly prepared for birthing physically, mentally, and spiritually, she can experience that sort of joy, birthing her baby in an easier, more comfortable, and often, even pain-free, manner. Through a well-thought-out program of deep relaxation, self-hypnosis, special breathing techniques, visualization, affirmations, and education, HypnoBirthing® returns to a woman the art of birthing in a way that allows her to summon her natural birthing instincts and to birth her baby in safety and with ease.

HypnoBirthing® is based on the belief that severe discomfort does not need to be a natural accompaniment of birthing when a woman is properly prepared and trusts her birthing body.

Additional Class Offerings

Spinning Babies® Parent Class

Spinning Babies Parent Class highlights your baby’s active role in birth. During labor, baby needs to pass through “3 Levels” of the  pelvis. This class teaches techniques to help open the pelvis and the muscles that support – or restrict – your pelvic “levels”. Together, you and your partner can use these techniques before and during labor to help “make room for baby”! The goal of Spinning Babies is to create conditions where baby can find the optimal positions for labor, making birth easier, less painful, and even pleasurable! *This class is not  intended for birth professionals, but instead provides information for expectant mothers.

Pre & Postnatal Yoga

image6

I am an advocate of intuitive and instinctive birth and parenting. No one knows you or your baby better than you do. Through yoga we will build strength and suppleness in the body and spirit. We will build a community of support for where we are right now. I hope you will join us for a strong postural yoga practice focussed on grounding parents in where they are right now, while preparing for the future that they imagine.

Elimination Communication & Non-Coercive Potty Training

image7

Elimination Communication is a gentle, non-coercive way to respond to a baby’s natural hygiene needs, from as early as birth. Like all mammals, human babies instinctually resist soiling themselves, their sleep space, and their caregivers, and they clearly communicate about it from birth. With EC, we learn baby's signals and natural rhythms and assist them with this process until they naturally gain independence (usually by 9-18 months of age).

EC works because this is how NATURE created us. Babies are extremely instinctual, and when we parents zoom out, we can see that they are trying to tell us what they want - beyond eating, sleeping, and staying warm!

Pottying your baby can make baby-raising cleaner, easier, and MUCH more connected. Plus, it protects the environment while your baby's dignity remains intact.
