Think about it. Just like an athlete, because birth can definitely be an athletic event. Take rock climbing for example. If a climber is strong, flexible, and able to move their body in just the right way, at just the right time, they can climb amazing things.
The birthing body is exactly the same!
Babies fit the space available. Yet, thinking of the size of the baby or the pelvis is not enough. The birthing body can be flexible. Both the uterus and the pelvis have more available room when the muscles and other soft tissues are balanced between strength an openness.
This helps the baby get into the ideal position for birth. And helps you and the baby navigate birth with graceful ease.
So many of the pains we experience in pregnancy don't have to be. They exist because our body is growing and adjusting to make room for baby.
With a bit of thoughtful practice, we can alleviate many of theses pains and discomforts by simply moving our bodies and enlisting the help of friend, partner, or family member.
I've noticed that when balance is restored in the pregnant body, their muscles and alignment in the pelvis, birth goes better.
Classes consist of one 2 to 2 1/2 hour group class. Class sizes are limited.
We will be moving during class, so please wear comfortable clothing, water, and snacks.
Group classes are $100.00
Private classes start at $220.00 and vary depending on location and timing
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to confirm registration.
